I’ve been looking at a lot of new dog coats for winter lately for my chihuahuas. We recently packed up everything and moved up to Canada, and on most days, it’s really starting to cool off! So I’ve been having to bundle the little chihuahuas up in their warmer chihuahua coats for winter, and they seem a lot more comfortable. Winter dog coats are always fun to play around with on chihuahuas because there are so many great designer chihuahua coats that are super fresh and fashionable in addition to being practical and warm for these little chihuahuas, they’re great! Dog apparel for small dogs is a real hobby for some today, including your truly. These chihuahua clothes and small chihuahua dog apparel outfits can make your little dog look completely over-the-top adorable, and it’s so much fun building a fashionable wardrobe of stylish small dog apparel for your little toy breed dog!

Having recently just moved up from Mexico to Canada, I am pleased to see so many little doggies wearing their fashion dog apparel for smaller dogs on the streets and in the windows of so many houses! Chihuahua apparel has truly spread across the globe and I’m seeing this dog clothing for small dogs in literally every country I visit, now. But something I want to touch on briefly is that, white I think small dog fashion is the bomb and that it is a lot of fun to play around with, I would never put my dog’s fashion above her basic needs as a dog.

Something that twists me up inside and makes me feel so sad is when I see a gorgeous little dog wearing her cute apparel for little dogs on the street, but that has an owner who is paying no attention whatsoever to her and is on the cell phone, and her dog is running around and peeing on things and trying to attack every other dog that walks by.

I feel sorry for these dogs because, even though they look super cute in their dog apparel for small dogs, they are such a mess, psychologically speaking. It pains me whenever I see these dogs that are so antisocial and have no clue how to interact with other dogs and just be a DOG, sniffing and wagging tails with the other dogs, with her owner just standing there saying “oh, yeah, she’s like that….” Oh, I hate it! Chihuahua clothes and yorkie apparel, and all of this small dog clothing is for us pet owners much more than it is for our dogs, if we’re honest, and it can in no way be a substitution for proper guidance and the leadership your dog needs from you. Left to their own devices and just their chihuahua clothes, a lot of dogs spin out of control in this strange, human world we make them live in today, with us.

So please, please, PLEASE keep this in mind when you’re shopping for dog apparel for small dogs at the Chihuahua Shop. I know YOU probably understand your dog and her needs and how to fulfill her and that chihuahua clothes and dog apparel is for show and for fun and that dogs need a lot more than food and fashion in order to stay happy; but stand up for the dogs of other people when you see negligent owners on “walks” with their dogs (can you tell I have an issue with this?-lol), who aren’t really “there” with their dogs and are just spacing out and doing the obligatory five minute pee break routine with their dog for the 100th time in a row, probably. You can tell: the dog will never lie… even if you are momentarily blinded by how cute her dog apparel for small dogs is! -Mikey

I think that dog collars and leads have to be one of my favorite dog accessories. After the chihuahua clothes and the fancy dog bling, my chihuahuas wear their dog collars all the time, and I walk them using their matching dog leads every day! When you’re out walking your dog, you’re on display for the world, and so having fashionable dog leashes for showing off your gorgeous little chihuahua is a must as far as I’m concerned!

I’ve been paying attention to a lot of the dog leads and collars I see people using with their chihuahuas and their other little toy breeds, and it seems that after the majority of boring and bland dog leads and collars, it is chihuahuas with their designer dog collars and their fancy chihuahua leads that are ahead of the rest of the dog work in terms of style.

So many people are out, walking around these gorgeous dogs that are groomed and have these amazing coats of fur because they’re fed the premium brands of dog food, and the whole thing. Many of them even wear chihuahua clothes and other dog apparel for the larger breeds! But very, very few people have the bling collars for their dog like I see on chihuahuas with their stylish chihuahua collars. And I also don’t see many fashion dog leads that match with the collars, right now.

And it’s such a shame, I say! Here they are, these gorgeous dogs with these beautiful small dog clothes, but their owner hasn’t taking the time to find the right matching dog leads and collars to go with their outfits! Small dog collars and short dog leads for these chihuahuas and yorkies and maltese dogs that are perfect for getting your canine fashion bonanza on are everywhere today, especially in the online chihuahua boutiques. Studded Dog Collars

I think studded dog collars are pretty freaking cool, and that’s why I’ve been working so hard to bring a few of these dog collars with studs to the Shop this week. Spiked dog collars are in the same category, really, and I see them most often around the necks of the biker dogs and the doggies perched on the front handlebars of motorcycles all the time! These punk dog collars are a definite throwback to the 80’s and that bad-ass, metal scene, and with studded small dog collars, you get to take a walk on the wild side of dog collars.

Chihuahua collars usually lean more in the category of glam and luxury, studded with crystals and very often pink in color. But these studded dog collars are much more often black leather collars with the metal studs embedded into the collar band. It is possible to find cool dog collars with studs of another, more playful color, like a light blue or a soft pink, but the studded doggie collars usually have that more classic biker look of the black leather band with the chrome metal studs.

You can even find crystal studded puppy collars for your younger dogs, today. These are just your standard studded dog collars, only a bit smaller so that they fit around your puppy’s smaller neck. You can even find spiked collars for dogs that are really small, like chihuahuas, or that are puppies, as well!

But these studded collars for dogs inject that extra bit of attitude into your dog’s appearance and make her look like a bad ass chihuahua! Studded chihuahua collars are starting to appear more and more around where I live, on around the necks of little dogs; and it’s no secret why: little chihuahuas look super cute when they’re sporting a stylish dog collar that has studs or spikes on it!

Dog clothes are everywhere today, and whether you’re into chihuahua dog clothes or you’re more a cute dog clothes shopper, it’s these stylish dog clothes that dog owners are flocking to today. My neighbors, and all the pet owners of the little beach town I live in today is going gaga when they shop dog clothes online, and I’m lucky enough to get to see all this chihuahua clothing and these funky dog clothes on their little pets all the time!

Dog clothing does have its detractors, though, and while I think chihuahua clothing is totally fabu and that dressing up your dog in the most fashion-tastic designer dog clothes can be a lot of fun and a very good thing, not everyone feels the same. There are people who completely scoff at the very notion of dog fashion, and believe it to be cruel to dress a dog in an extra layer of fur.

Dog Clothes – Is There A Downside?

I think we have to respect their doggie clothes opinion, because not all of use have seen dog dresses and dog coats used in the same way. I know I have personally seen small dogs wearing heavy, thick dog clothes in the middle of the searing summer, when they’re out in the summer sun and the heat is bearing down on their and their small dog clothes, and that’s not at all cool in my books.

I think this goes without saying, but in terms of dog outfits, you have to use common sense with these little dog clothes, and dog clothing for all breeds of pet dogs. If you’re going to shop for new dog clothing at the Chihuahua Shop, or wherever it is that you buy your toy dog clothes, then please please PLEASE make sure you clothe your dogs responsibly and that you’re not going to make them wear dog clothes out in the sun and cause them to suffer in the heat!
