Chihuahua Hoodies: A Funky Fashion Statement for Little Dogs

The cold months are definitely upon us, and with them, the warm chihuahua clothing is coming out in force! I’m seeing a lot of people going for the cute little chihuahua hoodies right now, and it’s no surprise why: these little chihuahua hooded outfits are both stylish and they keep your little dog warm.

Chihuahua Winter Clothes for Living With Chihuahuas In A Cold Place

Chihuahuas tend to get insanely cold in the winter time, and so heavier dog clothing for your pet chihuahuas is a must. It’s not really optional: if you own chihuahuas and you live in a cold climate over the winter months, and you’re also a responsible dog owner who makes the effort to walk your dog every day in the winter time, you need to bundle these little guys up in their sweaters and chihuahua coats, otherwise they just freeze their little buts off. I’m not joking in the least bit, either: if you’ve ever seen a chihuahua in weather that even remotely approximates what you’d consider “cool”, then you know just how much these little hairy cutie pies shiver and shake in the cool weather.

Some of you know that chihuahuas have a very high metabolism that causes their body to shed their body heat very quickly compared to the other dog breeds, and so they cool off very rapidly when they’re not spending time in a hot place like their home country of Mexico. 😉 And if you’re living in a cold place with your chihuahua, forget about it: that’s a recipe for chihuahua popsicle!

So chihuahua winter coats really are a must if you live in the cold. I happen to live in Canada right now. And while living up here with my chihuahuas right now, and when we fly over to the UK to visit friends, I have to wrap my chihuahuas up in their warm chihuahua clothing for the winter just to keep them comfortable. The winter really is not a chihuahua’s best friend!

People with teacup chihuahuas know the challenge of finding mini chihuahua clothes that actually fit your little dog. There are plenty of small dog boutiques selling chihuahua clothes for this small breed, but when you have a teacup chihuahua, you really need to find a store that sells the tiny teacup chihuahua clothes that will actually fit your mini chihuahua dog properly!

Chihuahua Designer Clothes for Fashionable Chihuahuas

One of my guilty pleasures in running a dog clothing shop like the Chihuahua Shop is that I get to indulge my addiction to chihuahua designer clothes on a regular basis. With the new lines of luxury chihuahua clothing arriving each month, my chihuahua haute couture fashion “sweet tooth” acts up on a regular basis, and I have to satiate it. I’m a fan of quality chihuahua fashion, and when it comes to the fancy chihuahua clothes that we see at the Shop every month, it’s freaking exciting to be a part of!

And watching the little chihuahua dog respond to those people, interacting with her differently, is a beautiful thing. I’ve seen chihuahuas go from being a little standoffish and shy and afraid to being social butterflies over the course of a few days, just from the chain of events that resulted from the chihuahua being dressed in designer chihuahua clothes.
