I have a lot of chihuahua owners asking me about chiuaua clothes for their little dogs, and yes, I realize that’s not spelled properly, but whatever: people email me and ask me about not just chihuahua clothes, but “chiwawa clothes” and “chiuaua clothes” all the time, for their small canine companions, so I’m going to include everyone in this sort of mass reply. After all, why should the ability to spell limit your access to the world’s cutest chiuaua fashion out there 🙂 In honor of your earnest efforts to find out more about these small dog clothes for your chiuauas, I’m going to spell it for the rest of this short Q and A article 🙂

Alight, so a question a lot of chiuaua owners have for me is whether the Chihuahua Shop ships their orders quickly. The answer is yes: once you’ve placed your order via the Chihuahua Shop and you’ve payed for the chiuaua clothing you desire for your cute little doggie, we aim to have the clothes and chiuaua accessories you order to you within four to six business days. If you live in Europe, that shipping time is even less, and the shipping time for chiuaua clothes inside of the UK is even less–usually no more than two business days.

Another question people often ask me about ordering chiuaua clothes is whether they can return their order. Again, the answer is yes, for sure. So long as you return the chiuaua fashion outfits and whatever other dog items you’ve ordered within seven days of the receipt, and it’s in mint condition so it can be resold, you can return your chihuahua’s would-be clothing to us. Under most circumstances, you will have to pay the shipping and handling costs to do so, so I really, REALLY recommend you make sure the sizes are correct before you order, but yes, we will refund your order if you send the chiuaua outfits back under those terms.

Finally, I get a lot of people who ask me when they can expect new chiuaua clothes for their small dogs to show up at the Shop. And to that, I really can’t give you concrete answers. I do my best to find the very best and latest chiuaua dresses and chiuaua shirts to bring into the Chihuahua Shop often. And whenever it’s possible for me to do so, I bring these new chiuaua fashion clothes in if they meet my strict quality and value requirements that I really believe in. But I don’t have a schedule for the release of the new lines of chiuaua clothes for your chihuahua puppies that are dying for new chihuahua clothes! I add new ones when I can, when I find a chiuaua coat or shirt that I think is truly great.

Searching around for the newest small dog clothes to bring in to the Chihuahua Shop, I’ve been spotting a few recurring trends in little dog clothing right now: I’m noticing that chihuahua owners who love buying their smaller dogs the chihuahua clothes seem to be going after the pattern-and-logo small dog shirts and hoodies; I’m seeing more and more small dog harness hoodies appearing in the small dog boutiques; and I’m seeing more and more small dog dresses and small dog costumes selling than ever before.

As I said, when it comes to small dog clothing, owners are going gaga for the logo/emblem/message small dog t-shirts right now. If you browse through a dog clothing boutique like the Chihuahua Shop, you can find literally hundreds of different popular designs to customize your shirts for small doggies. The messages and logos are fun, and just from the volume of these small dog clothes that have the messages on them that are showing up in the different stores, I think it’s safe to say they’re quite popular with small pet owners right now!

And the next trend in smaller dog clothes I’m seeing, like I said, is that chihuahua and yorkie and Maltese and other toy breed owners are really loving the new small dog hoodies we’re carrying. With the new arrivals for Halloween and the upcoming winter season, small dog owners are splurging on hoody shirts for small dogs, and it’s no wonder why: they’re adorable and practical at the same time–it’s two chihuahuas with one bone!

And like I said, the other thing I’m seeing with small dog fashion right now, especially with the chihuahua clothing, is that the chihuahua coats and small puppy fashion that is selling right now is the more dressy, flashy, stylish dog clothes and dresses for little dogs. Functional clothing for these cute little pet dogs is still in demand with dog owners, but the priority with little dog clothes has shifted from practical to fashionable. It’s very rare to walk into a small dog clothes store today and find strictly functional clothes for little dogs: sweaters, coats, and other warm dog attire. The focus in outfits for small dogs right now is on the fashion.

Dog Coats with Harness Built In

Oh! Hello again! It’s Namaste Arigato the chihuahua! I want to talk about dog coats with harness loops built into their design today because they’re pretty cool! I’ve been super busy over the past few months being the mascot for the Chihuahua Shop, but Mikey has gone to get some drinks for our movie time tonight and NOW’S my chance to do a little chihuahua ninja blogging about these new harness dog coats that I think are pretty cool!

I’ve been seeing my chihuahua friends lately, wearing these chihuahua harness coats that have the harness loop built right into their back! They’re pretty cool, and I’m a little jealous! Mikey likes to walk me off-leash most of the time (because I’m so good!), but I’d almost volunteer to have the leash back on me if I could be sporting one of these chihuahua harness coats! Seriously, they’re super cool: they keep us chihuahuas warm while also allowing you, the owner, to maintain control of us on the walk, when we become a little excited and all-over-the-place, hehe!

Dog coats that have a harness loop have been around for a while, I’ve noticed, but these new harness vest and specialty dog coats with harness loops built in are packing more and more style for the chihuahuas and the other toy breeds, now! I would no longer feel like a test subject of some insane science project if Mikey were to dress my up with one of these and walk me–on the contrary: I’d be wearing it with pride, methinks!

I’ve been trying to clue Mikey into the fact that I want one of these harness dog coat outfits for the winter, because I get freaking COLD up here in Canada in the winter, but I still need my long walks in order to stay calm and balanced and not lose my mind! Thankfully my owner/leader/love–Mikey–knows this, but I still don’t have one of these new dog coat with harness loop outfits, and I sure do want one!

I’ve been looking for these harness coats for dogs in the online boutiques, but they’re not always easy to find. I’ve seen a lot of dog jackets with harness holes in them, so you can leash up your dog to a harness that’s worn underneath the coat, but I see very few dog jackets with harness loops built right into the fabric of the jacket! We sell T-shirts of every kind, fleece-lined dog sweaters and sweatshirts AND chihuahua hoodies of every sort that have the harness built in, but we do not have any coats or jackets lined with harness attachments. Pomeranian Clothes for Fashionable Pom Poms!

Pomeranian clothes have never been a segment of dog fashion I’ve given much thought to. Part of that has to do with the fact that until recently, I had never even seen a pomeranian wearing little clothes for pomeranians! To me, poms were always these cute and adorable little cream poof doggies, with their fantastically poofy hair and those precious little faces. It wasn’t until I took my chihuahuas on a play date with my friend and her small army of pomeranian dogs wearing their clothes that I experienced the world of pomeranian clothing–and in full force!

I walked through the door of my friends apartment and met the pack. I was expecting the pom poms, but not the pomeranian t-shirts. Or the pomeranian costumes. And certainly not the haute couture for pomeranians! I was a more than slightly at a loss of words when I first walked in… I was so stunned!

Here are all these beautifully poofy haired dogs with their poofy faces, then with their tight little dog clothes for pomeranians on their back, squishing down the hair, and then their poofy tails and behind! They were SO cute! I finally managed to stutter a few words, but my friend had already read the expression tattooed across my face: I was some combination of humored and in awe!

It turns out that pomeranians can seriously wear their pomeranian fashion with style! I thought it would look ridiculous, but you get these cute little dogs in their pomeranian outfits and they just look absolutely adorable. And when you bring your chihuahuas over and they’re wearing their chihuahua clothes, and they’re playing with the pomeranians that are wearing their pomeranian clothes, you start to feel a bit like you’d imagine a tourist in Alice in Wonderland would feel like: it gets pretty surreal.

So for the past few days, I’ve been taking clothes over to my friend’s apartment and trying on different clothes from the Chihuahua Shop on her dogs. It turns out that medium-small size clothing works great as pomeranian clothing for her pom pom doggies, and they look super darling!

It’s almost that time of year again when the whole world–well, the fun side of the world–dresses up in Halloween costumes and has a heap of fun on October 31st. Along with the people in costumes, a LOT of people including yours truly love to dress their chihuahuas up in cute Halloween chihuahua costumes for the special, spooky day of trick or treat!
