Designer Dog Carriers for Chihuahuas

When it comes to the designer dog carriers out there for chihuahuas and the other little breeds of dogs, there are really nice ones that have just been released and we’ve been bringing them into the Chihuahua Shop over the past week! It’s been super exciting, watching these luxury dog carriers come in, because now, not only can you doll up your chihuahua in the latest chihuahua clothes, you can carry her around in style in her very own designer doggie carrier fir for a fashion queen!

I see a lot of these pet carrier hand bags on the bus, actually! I get on the bus to head into Puerto Vallarta down here, and I just bring my chihuahua on by hand, carrying her. But I see so many other people using a chihuahua carrier to transport their dogs with them. I guess some people figure that if you’re going to carry your dog with you wherever you go, you may as well do it in chihuahua style!

And that’s exactly what these designer pet carrier bags are: they are like the airplane of transportation for dogs. You take your chihuahua with you in a designer dog carrier, and it’s like giving her the royal spa treatment. These bags provide your dog with a nice comfy place to rest while you take her somewhere, and they let you sneak your dog into places you would otherwise not be allowed to bring your chihuahua or other breed of toy dog. Haha, I’ve used designer dog bags in the past to sneak my chihuahuas onto planes, trains, and automobiles, literally!–so I can definitely attest to the effectiveness of these luxe dog carriers doubling as a sneak transport system for your little doggie.

The Chihuahua Shop now carries some very high quality designer dog carriers for your little doggies, and I really recommend you check them out if you’re looking for a posh dog carrier to transport you chihuahua dog around in! Alright, I’ll talk to you again very soon! -Mikey

Small Dog Harness for A Chihuahua

I don’t know if you’re seeing the same thing, but I’m noticing a lot of chihuahuas and other little dogs wearing a small dog harness on their walks these days, instead of the older style chihuahua dog collars I used to see everywhere. I’m lucky in that I live around a lot of dogs and their owners, and so I see a great deal of chihuahua clothes and chihuahua harness dresses, and the whole spectrum of dog walking tools.

With the smaller dogs right now, I’m definitely seeing a movement toward using the stylish chihuahua harnesses, with little dog owners. The little dog harness allows you to not only take you dog for a walk, but to do so while having your chihuahua dressed up in one of the fashion dog harnesses that keep your little pup looking cool and stylish while also giving you easy access to a harness loop to leash her up because it’s built in to the small dog’s harness dress, coat, shirt, or hoodie. So these harnesses are fashionable and functional.

Jogging along the walking trails here in town, some of the small dog harnesses I’ve seen are darn cute. They have these toy dog harness vests that dress up your little dog as though he’s on his way to a board meeting or something more serious like that. And on other little dogs, I’ve seen these chihuahua harnesses, also in vest form, that make your little dog look like he’s on his way to a psychedelic disco party, with these splotchy color blotches in an almost tie-dye pattern.

And still, many other continue to walk their little dogs in their chihuahua clothes with their chihuahua collars and leashes. Not everyone is big on small dog harnesses, after all. Some believe that it’s much easier to control your dog when you’re leading your dog around with a leash attached to the neck, for training purposes. And others like knowing that by using a little doggie harness, they’re not putting any strain on their chihuahua’s neck. If you’re the latter and you have a little dog and you prefer using a harness to walk your pup, then head over to the Chihuahua Shop and check out the small dog harness selection, and have a look for yourself. I’ve been busy, working to bring in some new models of these little dog harnesses that I think you’ll really like, so be sure you go head over to the Shop and check them out after reading this! Alright, Speak soon! -Mikey

Hey there! If you’re looking to shop for puppy collars, I’ve collected some of my favorite places I like to shop for these below. Just click one of the links to be taken to the online dog boutique that I believe sells the best of that particular type of collar:

Legally Blonde puppy collars
boy dog collars

Puppy Collars: Where To Find The Perfect Collar That Expresses Your Puppy’s Unique Personality

Puppy collars are the most important piece of jewelry you can buy your dog: she will be wearing it for most of her life.

The good news is that these collars for puppies come in a variety of styles and, no matter what your taste, it’s fairly easy to find a collar for your little dog that you love.

After a lot of searching, checking, and shopping, I’ve found that different online dog stores have different strengths. What I mean by that is that certain online dog stores will sell a particular type of puppy collar that are better than most of the other stores out there, but then another store does a better job/has a better selection of another type of puppy collar.

In my opinion, these are the four best puppy collar boutiques:

Dog Collar Boutique
The Chihuahua Shop
Posh Puppy Boutique
G.W. Little

So if you’re now wondering “well, ok: from these four shops, where can I find the the best type of X dog collar?”

I’ve listed the answers (my opinion), below:

Designer puppy collars emphasize glamour and glitz, typically incorporating a lot of crystals or charms into the band and packing a ton of style. Perfect for the fashion-minded puppy owner with money to blow; these are more expensive than most other dog collars.
Best place to find them: the Dog Collar Boutique.

Personalized puppy collars allow you to customize the look of your little dog’s collar: printing your pet’s name on the band in Diamante crystal letters or having the leather band engraved, or personalizing the collar in a number of other ways are common practice with these collars that allow for customization. Great for dog lovers wanting to add that personal touch to their puppy’s most treasured possession.

Legally Blonde puppy collars let you dress your pup up just like Bruiser from this classic play/movie! If you’re a fan of the movie and you love pink, you’ll probably love these.

Boy dog collars emphasize the masculine qualities of your puppy with spikes, studs, and wide leather bands. Perfect for the budding beast!

Cheap puppy collars get the job done at minimal cost. These are great for when you just need a simple collar for your puppy and you don’t want to spend a lot of bones.

Crystal puppy collars bring the bling and inject your puppy with a heavy dose of glamour. Often studded with Swarovski or some other type of crystal, these are gorgeous dog collars for the pet owner who can afford them, as they do cost more than your average pup collar.
Best place to find them: the Dog Collar Boutique

Leather puppy collars bring that classic dog look and feel to your puppy. Classic, durable, and very often very stylish, these are perfect for the new puppy owner looking for a good all-around collar for her little dog.

Puppy collars: also for the smaller dog breeds

Puppy collars are perfect for the smaller dog breeds like chihuahuas, yorkies, pugs, and the other cute little dog breeds running around out there. These dogs are essentially perpetual puppies, remaining small for life, and so puppy collars are idea for them, as well. For the toy breed dog owners out there, I heartily recommend checking out the places I’ve listed above, as well as the being sure to check out The Posh Puppy Boutique–they have some very cool collar designs that just didn’t quite fit in to the categories I mentioned above–as well as G.W. Little, for the same reason!

I hope you find this roundup/comparison of puppy collars useful! I’ll speak to you again soon. -Mikey

Pink Dog Clothes for Chihuahuas

I think pink dog clothes have got to be the most fashionable, diva-esque chihuahua clothes you’ll ever come across. Especially if you’ve ever seen the movie or the Broadway play “Legally Blonde,” you’ll know that dressing your chihuahua in pink toy dog clothes is like a super shortcut to making you chihuahuas into the supreme fashion diva with an attitude on your block. Almost nothing can compare to pink dog clothing in creating that pampered pooch air for your doggie, and if you’re into the whole Beverly Hills Chihuahua lifestyle, these pink chihuahua dog clothes and outfits we carry at the Chihuahua Shop fit the bill perfectly for this!

Don’t get me wrong: small dog clothes are freaking adorable and they can take most little chihuahuas and make them look famously adorable. But when you make them pink chihuahua dog clothes, nothing can really compete with them in the power of that “I’m the new fashion BITCH on the block… BITCH! So watch the F#*! out!” Haha, it’s may sound extreme, but I know a few chihuahua owners who dress up their ordinary little dogs in pink small dog clothes, and it’s like night and day: the dog and the owner go from being “normal” to being this crazy pink dog fashion duo that could mow you over any second with their loud message of pink clothing fashion. It’s impressive, to say the least!

It’s been very exciting to bring in the pink little dog clothes that the dog who plays Bruiser in the UK theater production of Legally Blonde actually wears each night on stage (pictured above!) Now you can actually dress your chihuahua in the exact pink doggie clothes of a chihuahua dog fashion superstar. If you’re a pink doggie clothing fanatic, this is a must buy!

My pink puppy clothes friend has about three to four pink chihuahua clothes for each of her chihuahua puppies that she’s rescued over the years, and now, like her, they each seem to have a passion for pink. I know that sounds ludicrous, but I’m telling you: you bring out a pair blue dog clothes and a pair of dog clothes that are pink and these chihuahuas walk up to the pink ones 100% of the time!

Namaste Wearing Her Pink Dog Clothes

It’s wild, and so is pink small dog clothing, which is why I invite you to check out the Chihuahua Shop’s new pink dog clothes section that we’ve set up JUST for those small dog owners who love to dress up their chihuahuas in fashion and who have a passion for pink! Go check it out and I be back again soon with the latest dirt from the trenches of the chihuahua fashion scene! -Mikey

Toy Dog Clothing for Chihuahuas

Ever since I first adopted my chihuahuas a few years back, I’ve had a soft spot for toy dog clothing and the chihuahua clothes I love to dress up my little doggies with. For me, small dog clothing is my favorite way of really externalizing my chihuahua’s personality for others to see and “get” immediately, and to just have my own fun with dressing her up and living in a bit of a chihuahua fantasy land! But recently, I ran into a situation at puppy training class with a new chihuahua rescue I’m fostering right now where toy dog clothes were actually getting in the way!

So this chihuahua rescue I took in a few weeks ago, he has a lot of potential to be a chihuahua superstar: he’s very attentive, he’s super obedient, and he loves wearing his toy dog outfits. So I enlisted him in puppy training classes and have been taking him three times per week to his classes with him dressed up in his chihuahua clothing.

The problem is not with my chihuahua pup or any of the other dogs: they’re all super friendly and they get along famously. This bizarre problem has to do with the other dog owners and my little chihuahua doggie’s toy dog fashion that I dress him in: his toy dog clothing is drawing too much attention from the other owners in the class and they’re actually getting distracted from the exercises we’re supposed to be doing and it’s interfering with the entire class. It’s insanity!

I go to these dog training classes with my chihuahua dressed up in his toy doggie clothing, and I almost feel like I’m trapped in a zombie movie or something with all of these people coming after me and my dog who simply can’t control themselves and keep from coming after us to touch him and talk to me! It’s insanity! Combining this little chihuahua with his tiny chihuahua dog clothes is proving to be too much for these other owners to handle! They see my little Winston in his cool toy dog apparel and it’s like gravity pulling them away from their training exercises with their own dog: they have to come over and talk to me and comment on how cute my chihuahua is in his toy dog clothing and how he reminds them of this other dog they once had, and this and that… it’s madness, I say.

I like to use chihuahua dog clothing to help dogs and people, not interfere with them, so for the last two classes, I’ve actually left my little chihuahua pup’s toy dog costumes and small dog coats off, in the car, just so that he isn’t quite as much of a draw. It’s been helping, as the other owners are doing a better job of concentrating on their work, but now my little Winston isn’t getting his training while wearing his small dog coats and his little dog clothing, which isn’t ideal because I want that association to be there. Perhaps I’ll have to dress him back up in his toy dog clothing after a few more sessions and see if the other owners can behave themselves.

I’m almost hesitant to do this because I know that whenever you dress up a chihuahua in clothing for toy dogs, it’s like giving the world an invitation to come over and touch your dog and squeal with delight and remark over how cute your doggie is! And then I have to almost get into that “alright bitch, back the f!*# away from my dog!”-mode just to stop all the commotion and continue with what I was wanting to do. I don’t like having to go there, but sometimes duty calls, you know?

Haha! Well anyways, the Chihuahua Shop has some super high quality toy dog clothing that I think you should check out if you’re into your chihuahua toy dog’s clothes and you enjoy dressing her up into that toy dog fashionista diva superstar. So head over to the Shop, check it out, and I’ll back again soon, probably with another weird story about toy dog clothing that hopefully does not involve me punching someones lights out for not giving me and my chihuahua the space we need to do our training work, after I snap, black out, and lose it. Lol. Speak soon, -Mikey
